Privacy Policy

1. The short version

Every calculator and converter on 1234Tools runs entirely in your browser. Whatever you type into a tool — numbers, dates, text, images — is processed on your device and is never transmitted to us, stored by us, or seen by us. There is no account and no database.

If you allow it, we measure which pages are visited so we know what to improve. That is a separate thing from what you do inside a tool, and it is off by default: nothing is loaded and no cookie is set unless you agree. The contents of the tools are never recorded, whatever you choose.

2. Who we are

1234Tools is operated by MVR IT Services LTD (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 10251131), registered office in Reading, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the limited data described below.

Questions about this policy can be sent to contact@xleshop.com.

3. What we do collect

  • Contact form messages. If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are sent to our inbox via a third-party form processor (FormSubmit.co) so we can reply. This is the only personal data we receive.
  • A theme preference. If you switch between light, dark or system theme, that single choice is saved in your browser's local storage so it's remembered next visit. It never leaves your device.
  • The last few tools you opened. So the homepage can offer them back to you, the names of your six most recent tools are saved in your browser's local storage. Only the names — never anything you entered into them. It never leaves your device, we cannot see it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
  • Hosting logs. This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub, Inc. may log IP addresses and request metadata for security and operational purposes, independently of us. See GitHub's Privacy Statement.
  • Analytics, only with your consent. If you accept when asked, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity record which pages you visit, roughly where in the world you are, and how you moved through the page. Clarity also replays page usage, with every form field, result panel and generated document masked, so what you enter into a tool is not captured. Advertising and personalisation signals are disabled and IP addresses are anonymised. See Google's Privacy Policy and Microsoft's Privacy Statement. Nothing loads until you agree, and a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal is treated as a refusal.

Page fonts are served from this site rather than Google Fonts, so an ordinary page load contacts no third party at all. We use no advertising trackers and sell no data to anyone.

4. Why we use it, and for how long

Contact form data is used solely to respond to your message and is kept only as long as needed for that, and no longer than 24 months. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries sent to us.

Analytics data is used only to decide which pages deserve work. The lawful basis is your consent, which you gave by accepting when asked and can withdraw at any time from the Cookie Policy page. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months; Microsoft Clarity retains recordings for 30 days.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to access, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you — in practice, this means the content of any message you've sent us. Email contact@xleshop.com and we'll respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

6. Cookies

See the Cookie Policy for the (minimal) storage this site uses.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version.
