Tips
- The canvas is enlarged to fit the rotated image, so nothing is clipped. The corners fill with the chosen colour.
- Rotating by 90, 180 or 270 degrees is lossless in shape — no interpolation is needed. Other angles resample the pixels.
- Phone photos often appear sideways because the sensor orientation lives in EXIF rather than the pixels. Re-saving here bakes the correct orientation into the file.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my photo appear rotated after upload elsewhere?
Some software honours the EXIF orientation flag and some ignores it. Saving a rotated copy here writes the pixels in the right order, so every viewer agrees.
